Allie's 4th Birthday

Definitely my most fabulous cake to date, Allie's Care Bear birthday cake turned out Amazing!  In fact, I think I even surprised myself.  To begin, I cut the rainbow shape out of cardboard and then used frosting to attach Skittles to make the rainbows.  Purchased blue frosting helped to make the cake color darker which helped the clouds (piped white frosting) and the stars (piped yellow frosting) to stand out clearer.  The Care Bears were purchased and gave it a nice professional finish.  The piping turned out looking much fluffier than I expected which helped to create the illusion of the clouds, while having the double rainbow added depth as well as more color.  I think this is the first time that a cake turned out even better than I had created it to be in my head.  I think I might be getting the hang of this cake decorating thing!

Not to mention that Allie LOVED it and we almost hated to cut into it.
